A New Standard for Sustainable Design

The Center for Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University sets a new standard for sustainable design excellence. As Boston’s largest fossil fuel-free, carbon-neutral building and among New England’s most sustainable structures, the CCDS has earned recognition from The Boston Globe as the city’s most environmentally friendly tower.

The building supports Boston University’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

3D Interactive Platform

Normandthegang created a 3D interactive platform showcasing the building’s sustainability features. The platform brings the CCDS story to life through a rich, immersive experience that includes:

• 3D animations
• Team video interviews
• Real-time data integration

The platform is accessible both online via the BU Sustainability website and as an interactive wall installation in the CCDS lobby, offering dual accessibility for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
